Sht. AArticle 10, paragraph 7
What the text requires. What we deliver.
The regulation allows digital instructions under six conditions. Each one has its answer in what we deliver.
| Item | The regulation | Our answer |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | The instructions clearly identify the machine model. | One address per model, and one QR code per serial number. |
| 02 | The machine indicates how to access the instructions. | The QR code to place on the machine, next to the rating plate. |
| 03 | They can be printed, downloaded and saved. | Web pages and a printable PDF, always at the same version. |
| 04 | They stay online for the expected lifetime of the machine, and at least 10 years. | Hosting is included in the licence; a complete copy is handed over to you. |
| 05 | Any buyer who asks receives a paper version free of charge, within one month. | The PDF ready to print, up to date with the latest version. |
| 06 | If a non-professional can use the machine, the essential safety information stays on paper. | A sheet of essential safety information, to supply with the machine. |

Sht. B20 January 2027
Every manual will be reopened. Make it count.
For every machine placed on the market from that date, three points need reviewing. While you are reopening the instructions, make them a sales tool: illustrations people understand, parts ordered without mistakes.
- 01
The EU declaration of conformity
It cites Regulation 2023/1230, no longer Directive 2006/42/EC, for every machine placed on the market from 20 January 2027. The instructions contain it, or say where to find it.
- 02
Software and updates
The regulation’s new requirements, notably protection against corruption and the behaviour of software, may call for new sections in the instructions of connected machines.
- 03
The medium
The instructions may be digital, under the conditions of Article 10. Paper remains possible.

2027 instructions check
Send us your current instructions as a PDF. Within 48 hours, you receive the list of points to review before 20 January 2027, and what illustrated instructions would bring you. Confidential, no commitment.
A preparation list based on the text of your instructions. It is not a conformity assessment: that is a matter for your risk assessment and, where applicable, a notified body.Sht. DQuestions
Your questions, our answers.
Will digital instructions be mandatory in 2027?
No. Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 allows them, under the conditions of its Article 10: the model clearly identified, access indicated on the machine, instructions that can be printed, downloaded and saved, online for at least 10 years, and paper free of charge within one month for any buyer who asks for it.
Do you write our instructions?
No. Your engineering team remains their author and is responsible for them. We lay them out, illustrate them from your CAD, publish them and keep them up to date. Missing sections are flagged to you, never written in your place.
What do you need from us?
Your current instructions (PDF or source files), the list of spare parts with your part numbers and, to illustrate them, a STEP export of the assembly. A non-disclosure agreement is signed before anything is sent.
What if we change provider?
On delivery, you receive a complete copy, web pages and PDF, which you can host yourself. Your instructions and your files belong to you.
In how many languages?
Five languages in Digital instructions and in Illustrated instructions & parts, the languages of your markets in Instructions & training. Each language starts from your approved version and is submitted to you before going online.
Is the check really free?
Yes. Within 48 hours, you receive a one-page preparation list: what is ready, the points to review before 20 January 2027 and what illustrated instructions would bring you. It is not a conformity assessment.
